The Georgia 511 mobile app is the official traffic app of the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT). It provides real-time access to Georgia DOTs traffic and travel information including: - Current traffic speeds and travel times on major interstates in Atlanta and statewide.- Current incident and construction information in Atlanta and statewide.- A real-time interactive traffic map that uses your geo-location and lets you show/hide layers for message signs, cameras, incidents, and construction.- Over 800 real-time traffic camera images in metro Atlanta.- Over 100 real-time message signs in Atlanta and statewide.- News and major traffic and travel alerts.- Georgia DOTs main Twitter feed, plus 16 dedicated feeds for major interstates. New update made it more difficult to watch cameras and navigate them....
With the new update, this app is useless. Doesn't show incidents, construction, nothing but traffic. Knowing why traffic is heavy allows me the opportunity to decide how I want to deal with it.
This used to be a great app with a lot of functionality. Since the update it is useless. It is apparent that whoever is updating this app never has to actually use it.
App used to have LOTS of camera views. Navigating the cameras used to be easy. I know there are more cameras but they're no longer shown. Why not?
Lacks up to date information
I downloaded the app to report a traffic light that hasn't been working properly at night for a few days. Doesn't look like that is an option yet. Please consider adding this option.
It was better before you had to create an account.
Stop updating this app. You suck at everything you do as a DOT. It's sad that you try to make everything better but only screw it up even worse. I used to depend on this app to travel but NOT anymore. FIX IT PLEASE.......... Also let me press play to see the traffic flow.......
They updated the app and now it's pure GARBAGE! Will not use!!
Majority of cameras don't work and the photo/video size was made smaller in the in new version.
